CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., May 24, 2011 - Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers is pleased to announce the launch of a new corporate website, a mobile smartphone-friendly dealer directory (www.utdealers.mobi), and new Quick Response (QR) codes.
“Utility is always committed to developing more tools available for our dealers to utilize and for our customers to efficiently find information about our products,” said Craig Bennett, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at Utility. “The newly redesigned website, our new smartphone mobile-friendly dealer directory, and new QR codes are all aimed at providing a better user experience.”
UtilityTrailer.com now has a wider viewing area, improved site search capabilities, and an advanced navigation system. Added features include a new media gallery, more product specification highlights, and the ability to request a quote from a Utility dealer directly from the website.
The dealer locator on the new website also has a new feature that incorporates the Google Map technology when a user searches for a dealer by zip code, city, and state or by dealer name. Additionally, the dealer locator is mobile-friendly when logging onto utdealers.mobi on an Apple iPhone®, Android®, Blackberry® or with any web-enabled smartphone. Users are able to search through a comprehensive dealer network of over 105 locations in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Along with the mobile-friendly dealer locator, Utility also has developed QR codes for finding information easier and much faster than typing in a website address on a smartphone device. At this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show, Utility displayed codes that directed attendees to Utility brochures and videos. A scan or photo of the code is taken with a QR Reader using a smartphone and the application automatically directs to Utility information. Look for more Utility QR codes in upcoming Utility advertisements and sales tools.
